We take our commitment to environmental sustainability seriously and are continually looking for ways to contribute to local initiatives that align with our sustainability targets. Volunteering is also a great way to enhance team cohesion and to promote employee wellbeing by taking time away from the office and spending time outdoors.
Members of our team will be taking part in a local volunteering programme at a St Asaph based tree nursery five minutes down the road from our Head Office. The nursery has set goals to produce 5,000 native wildflower and 5,000 native trees every year, and we are keen to support their goals in any way we can.
There has been significant interest in the volunteer programme from across the business, therefore we will be creating a rota to ensure that everyone can participate. Our volunteers will head to the local tree nursery every Tuesday morning for two hours and will participate in a variety of activities including tree planting and assembling sustainable plant pots.
