Corporate Social Responsibility
As a company built on trust, diligence, and strong moral principles, we believe it is vital to be consistently developing our environmental, ethics and community policies.
Environmental
In recent years we have taken substantial measures to enhance our environmental sustainability. Our ongoing objective is to instil environmental consciousness across the company and adjust our operations to minimise our environmental impact. We also collaborate with our partners to ensure their environmental objectives align with ours. Additionally, we have recently commenced a volunteering programme at a local tree nursery to support biodiversity in the area, and to provide our team with the opportunity to spend time outdoors.
Ethics
At Leader Optec, we take pride in being an ethical company, conducting our business with integrity, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to responsible and fair practices. Our commitment to ethics is ingrained in the foundation of our core values and is consistently applied throughout every facet of our business. We encourage diversity in the workplace and ensure a safe and equal working environment for our team, and we expect our vendors and customers to uphold the same beliefs and standards.
Community
As a family-run business, we are committed to making a positive impact on our local community and the communities we do business with. To support young people in our community, we have created an apprentice programme to develop skills that will help set them up for future careers in the fibre optic industry. Not only do we see the importance of building relationships within our local community, but within the fibre optic community too. Leader Optec is a member of the FIA (Fibreoptic Industry Association) which enables us to network with peers in our industry.
Volunteering
Every Tuesday a couple of members of our Team head to the local tree nursery to assist with various planting activities. The volunteers who have attended the nursery so far, have thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors, as it allows them to switch off for a while whilst helping out a fantastic scheme. Through the scheme, we not only hope to aid the tree nursery with its biodiversity goals, but we hope to boost employee wellness and well-being. Below is a selection of photographs of our volunteers getting stuck into their tasks.
